Derapage Design, Inc. has been restoring antiques and sensitively retrofitting them for modern electronics for years. From taking off the top layer of finish of a dining table and minimizing dents and scratches to repairing a leg and matching the colors we have the resources to provide extensive restoration services. Our projects range from replacing with exact replicas glass pieces for rare cut glass domes to painting restoration and tapestry restoration. We offer these services in an expedited fashion which means shorter lead times and at a reasonable cost.

Our most exciting area has been sensitively retrofitting armoires and commodes to accommodate technology. As the picture indicates, we were able to retrofit this armoire with a flat screen TV, DVD, VCR, power amp, DSS receiver and sub woofer with a minimum of disturbance to the original antique. This does not mean cutting the back out of the piece and running the wires. We take care in thoughtfully planning the retrofit so that the antique may be returned to its original state with a minimum of changes, in this case a small hole and six screw holes.
