"A ROOM FOR A DAILY RITUAL"
This room was requested by the owners to be a chapel of sorts for their daily ritual of journal writing, quiet meditation, praying and even yoga. They needed a multipurpose room, that while small, had an inspirational other worldly glow. Mark Sommerfield the room's designer, designer the furniture, glassware and wall finishes. The carpet is an antique oushak. There is a goatskin and maple table with fringe, a pair of carved maple wingback chairs and glass sculptures. All lighting is recessed or housed in the cove molding. The ceiling is tinted and pearlized to cast a peche glow when lit.
